It’s nearly that time of year again. The greatest show on turf. Sure many of you will be disappointed to not be there.

Thread to give tips for the festival and our resident punt maestro @Stuart_C has assured me that he will be on here to keep you all in tips.

Feel free to contribute and maybe we can all afford some new shinies!

Certainly not disappointed to not be there.

We are members at Cheltenham but exclude the Festival from our membership as it has become nothing but a booze fest with many not even bothering to watch a race.

The November meeting is a more enjoyable event although I realise the Festival has the quality.

Will, however, be glued to the TV from Tuesday to Friday.

I have only missed three days of the festival since 1984 and seen every Gold Cup since 1982 and so gutted not to be there.

Best bet for me is Froden e/w in the Gold Cup at 12/1.

Looking forward to this, it's my favourite week of the year bar nothing.

I've not had any ante post punts this year, the bookies aren't as generous as they've been in previous years but I've got one yo my sleeve for Wednesday ?

Anyway the decs are in for Tuesday, I’m a bit disappointed with the small fields in some of the races this year from a price/value point.

I‘ll be taking on the jolly in the 1st and 2nd race.

To be honest cant remember a Festival where Ive been less excited or up to date. Not had a single ante post bet. Will be doing some homework tomorrow but expect it to be very low key for me this year
