Following my moan on birdierman's thread, I went out to play in inter-club friendly yesterday and played like a god(dess). Okay, slight exaggeration, but it felt libertingly good. Hit off the tee like a dream.Played sweet shots in from around 100, chipped tidily.
Putting demomns still in attendance, but got in a couple of good ones when needed.Only greensomes so I suppose no real pressure, (or individual score) but my first comp for the club.
Obviously not the same pressure as an individual comp and no overall score. But felt I might make my 23 one day soon.
Why the difference? who knows - change of format, change of company, or maybe I just ran out of angst.
So all of you others afflicted with early season blues, take heart. Your time will come!

(Off to practice some putting).

Good going Ali, it's a great feeling isn't it.
I was the same in recent weeks where nothing went as it should, but then on sunday all came good.
