I've just bought a 2nd hand Vokey 58 degree wedge fitted with a steel shaft reg flex .
My other irons all have carbon Miyazaki Jinsoku 72g shafts.

So should i get the Vokey changed to match , and would it make much difference ??.

Do you anticipate hitting many full shots with it, or is it more for half shots around the green? Personally I'd consider changing it if it is the former, and leave it alone if it's the latter.

Don't bother is my view - and certainly 'not worth' matching!

That's such a 'specialist' club that the difference won't really matter.

All 'imo' of course!

Howeever!....I played with my 'spare' set the other day, which had quite a mix of mis-matching swing and static weights. For quite a while, this actually felt weird and was probably the cause of more fats'thins than usual! There could be a 'balancing' exercise happening some time soon!

Thanks guys , I'll just keep the steel shaft, as I intend to use it mainly for half shots .:fore:

I wouldn't worry even if you used full swings.

I've had my gap wedge in the bag longer than any other club; whilst the PW may have a different distance it always relates to the 9 8 etc...the GW simply goes the distance it does, and feels the way it does.
