Thanks james , yes youre right of course there is a cut involved but not a great big one. Down to 4 now and by the looks of it I'll probs be there for a while as its comfortable 4 and there arent that many comps left to go lower or even back up

Left the trophy at the club cos my missus would have no interest at all in seeing it

My golf has improved out of all recognition in the last 4 weeks , imo completely down to the fact that I now dont give a stuff about it

I have stopped worrying about what score I shoot or whether I have a bad shot and I am thoroughly enjoying the freedom that this gives my golf game.
