Just had a press release in from the Tour - we'll have more details up on the site ASAP

glad to see them following the example of the GM Forum in hosting a big event there!

Lets hoep they get a winner of the quality of screwback!

Really in favour of this change. I never like tour events being held at exclusive courses joe public can't get on.

Probably be fewer midges too.

for the first time I'll be able to watch an event 'knowing' where they are.
I think any galleries on the shore line holes are either going to get wet feet or they'll have to moor some barges.

Same here matey.
I'll be able to say "thats where I stuck it to 10 feet from the bunker", or "thats where I shanked it on the 9th fairway!"

"Castle Stuart only opened last year"??!?!

Cripes! Must be impressive then!

*Adds Castle Stuart to the list*

It is that impressive!

I was boring the pants off my partner on Sunday about the place!

I know there was some hoo-ha about it's standing in the Top 100 on here recently but it's well worth anyones money.

Ahhhh, I see from your registration date that you registered about a month after 60 of us from here went to play it.

;) :p

You sir, are a nob!

You didnt miss much matey.......

Turned up, shown around the clubhouse, given a bucket of balls (callaways) for the shortgame and long game ranges. Practice green was the size of a football pitch with views to die for. The Clubhouse is Art Deco at its best. Shown down to the starters hut where a friendly guy (I know, usually they just grunt and point at their watch) who handed us a gift bag with tees, markers, strokesaver and coin for the gratis vending machine heading up the hill to the 13th tee. Bottles of coke just appear out of the hill, amazing :D
Greens that were fair (including the elephants graveyard in the front nine), fairways that looked like they were manicured by Gok Wan, teeboxes that always had a view of the water and land in the distance.
Burger and fries afterwards that were very tastey using local produce and decent company.

But yea, you didnt miss much!
