Looking to get another car as mine died today. Don't want to spend more than 4k.

Would like cheaper tax, has to fit electric trolley and clubs in, plus on certain days be used to take family out. Won't be doing more than 4000 miles a year in it.

What would you suggest looking at please.

Cheers

this ∆

They have ruined all other makes of car for me atm

I want to replace the civic next because my journey to work suits an automatic better due to traffic etc plus the wife drives auto (has manual licence but hasn’t driven one in 10 years) so want to replace it with an auto so both are autos

Anyways all cars I consider seem crap for fitting golf clubs in without taking the woods out! Why would I buy a car you can’t fit your clubs in.. I know people with bmw x5s who have to take their clubs out. Just poor design

My hrv fits the clubs nicely

At 4k per year I'd tweak that to an Octavia with a petrol engine.

The other suggestion of a Civic is also hard to argue against.

I’ve been looking at Peugeot 308 on lease as the boot looks huge , but I will no doubt end up with another civic! 😂

I get the clubs and electric trolley all in the boot of the Mazda 3 (and thats even with having sourced a spare wheel), and I dont need to remove anything:)

Official figures.......
Boot space 445L (rear seats up)
Tax £0
Mpg average 70.6
5 seats
Automatic
Interested ?

Does it fit golf clubs without taking the clubs out the bag lol because that car ticks a lot of boxes! (Providing it doesn’t fail the ULEZ on the north circular in 2 years)

When people get a bag in sideways with a driver in is the bag a carry bag? I ask that as I have a Superb, a pretty big boot by modern standards, and I have to take my driver out to fit it in lengthways, I don't count diagonally as that will not allow for a trolley. I have a Motocaddy trolley bag.

I can fit my sons bag in, a carry bag, without removing it.

Is there a boot that can fit a trolley and trolley bag vertically or horizontally without removing clubs? It must be mighty wide and long.

The hatchback you have to either take the woods out or drop down a seat. The SW (estate) is fine.

Loving my 308SW diesel, £30 a year RFL 50 mpg plus with a lot of short distance local journeys.

AS to OP I do not have scoobie about cars in that price bracket.

Taking woods out of your bag to get them in the boot - first world problem level.....Expert!
I know, really can't see the problem when they will be pulling clubs out the bag 120 times when they get to the course :ROFLMAO:

I have the Octavia estate and I can get my trolley bag with driver in lying sideways, although is a neat fit and easier if I take it out. Prior to the Skoda I had a BMW 330 saloon and there was no problem whatsoever fitting bag and driver in the boot.

Incidentally the DSG Auto box on the Skoda is fantastic.

Subaru Legacy estate does, large Mizuno trolley bag & Clicgear 3.5, I'd imagine the Levorg does as well (looks like the same, or very similar, platform). A few car dealers round my way were surprised when the response to "Do you want to see inside?" was, "No, can you open the boot first", and a prompt "No, thank you"when they didn't fit.

Can't argue against the Honda advice, last forever if serviced regularly & even a Jazz will fit a full set in a decent size bag.

Kis Ceed, keep saying its time to get a new one but never seems to go wrong. 10 years old now and been an excellent reliable car, very decent boot which can be made bigger by folding down seats if needed
