Only ever owned VW's and have yet to have any problems at all.
Polo,Golfs and now Passat and all those cars have in a 20 year period been faultless.

going to see the
Honda Accord
VW Passatt
Kia Optima
Toyota avensis
RR sport has a shocking quality record, owned by Tata i believe
if the accord and passat had a better 'nose' it would be a bit of a no-brainer, still you dont see the outside when you're driving

All of the above with the exception of the last one are more or less the same age and mileage. Big difference in the price. It makes the Superb fantastic value.
The last one is thrown in as it is unreal value for money....!!
No Mondeo or Mazda, but seeing the Kia? Colour me confused.![]()
never been a Ford fan and the Mazda I just dont like the look of:mmm: just looked at the mondeo and I bet its great to drive and quite nice inside too.................hmmmmm
I dont find my wrx any more expensive over previous cars but I dont do big miles in it either. My scooby fits all the above u just have to over look the running costs
Alfa 159. 2.4 jtdm diesel TI version
210hp lovely to drive (alittle laggy for some fuddys)
beautiful looking inside and out, 4yr old one in great nick will cost you 10k.
has an interior of sumptous leather and metal dash work that would shame an M3 RS4 etc.
the only hiccup would be alfa romeos patchy history of reliablity.
(though the 159 is very up to date and was designed by a german)

I agree with you on the Mazda front though. They're ok looking but looks is the main reason we chose the Mondeo (that and the boot space seemed bigger in the Mondeo (it's huge).
That's the last lift you get then. :ears:
I can't believe that anyone would mark the Mazda down on looks, that was one of my highest scores when I made my choice. Added to the desire to not just buy the boring option that all others make. Maybe thinking about the first generation (upto 2008)?
Anyway, each to their own I guess. Try taking a look at the What Car website for reviews on all of the above mentioned models.
I had a Land Rover Discovery before the Mazda6, and although I'm a big Land Rover fan and I loved it, the second mortgage cost each month was getting ridiculous.
I'm needing a new car and nothing excites me or grabs my attention out there just now- that I can afford- so any suggestions about reliable cars for a bloke that are
A) good for a mature bloke to drive ie not a smart car or obviously a girls car
B) good boot that takes the clubs and trolley ok
C) not an obvious merc c class, Audi a4,5,6, BMW 3 or 5 etc
D) must be comfy inside, got oomph and good technology
E) prob no more than 4 yrs old
Just looking for ideas and recommendations as I've always just gone for the main brands in the past.
Thanks
