Teegirl and I are off to one this morning, hoping to pick up some cheap Troika or Moorcroft.

Are you lot too busy playing golf on a Sunday morning or have you picked up any bargains at the old car boot sales?

Too busy golfing. We've been looking to do one for ages to clear out a.bit of junk but I don't want to take a morning off golf. HID is not currently impressed. :(

I can honestly say that I have never attended a boot fair. Must do it sometime.
My mate Normans golf bag is made up entirely of clubs that he has purchased from boot fairs and at his last estimate cost him about £70.00 all in (including the bag).
His latest purchase was a Hill Billy electric golf trolley. He paid £20.00 for it and it works perfectly and the cost of that is included in his £70.00 estimate.

We have a couple of big ones near us every Sunday, went to go the other week and then the rain came! Sod that. I'm playing on Sunday again this week so wont bother!

Must tell you about a car boot i went to last summer.
I am always looking for golf stuff.
I cam accross a stall that had a scotty cameron putter headcover on it,so i snapped it up for £2 and continued my journey around.
I was laden with goods when i walked up to the same stall after seeing a nike top,i picked it up and it was spanking and underneath that was a ping top and another nike.
Next to them were 3 pairs of Stromberg trousers, too small for me unfortunately but added to my load.On the table was a ping waterproof jacket in the original bag, unopened and then two Odyssey ball and pitchmarkers and a callaway one.
How much for all these i enquired £15 quid mate said the stallholder.
After paying him i started talking to him about golf and found out he was the assistant pro up Taunton and pickeridge.
So anyone that slates bootsales, more fool you there are bargains to be had.

Not been for many a year but fancy it now Bob has mentioned it. Club champs in a fortnight so chances are I'll miss the cut after the Saturday round and so have plenty of time to find a good one near me

Went to a Steam Rally today and they always have Boot Sales - was tempted by the Hippo Driver and 3 wood for 75p each.....

Saw a brand new Donnay bag as well, only a fiver and a pair of Stuberts that had seen better days about 5 years ago for a quidlet - nearly went for them.... :p

the other half went to a car boot sale today and came back with what was described as a present. She got me a dvd called how to reduce your handicap for 50p. I doubt it will ever see the dvd player
