Can't sleep - how many courses can you recall every hole?

I have played at, wearside, East Boldon, Whitburn, Sharpley, Hexham, Chester Le street, Mount oswald, Durham City in England. Played a one in Thailand but I cant remeber what that one was called. Recently Played in Florida and played at Ridgewood Lakes, Highlands Reserve, Legends and Provident all of which were amazing.

Highly recommend a golfing trip to Florida.

:swing:

That's because you were too engrossed in my rivetting conversation :p
Didn't know you worked in the shipyards.

I can remember the ones I have played that are on the tv a lot , like Wentworth and St Andrews, as well as the ones I play regularily. Probably about ten in total.

You have a TV?? Blimey.......you'll be getting a mobile phone next

Off the top of my head, I could "walk round" the following in my head of courses I have played less than 6 times, and some only once or twice:-

Hillside, Castle stuart, Carnoustie, Silloth, Prestwick, Royal Dornoch, Woodhall spa, Pleasington, Fairhaven, Preston, Lymm, Manchester, S and A, Wallasey, St. Mellion, Hesketh, West Lancs, St.Annes old links.

I couldn't round the old course, though, or Royal Liverpool fully. Royal Aberdeen, Western Gailes or Beau desert either.

I think with some it depends on the layout. Some out and back courses are harder to remember, as some of the holes can blend into one.

Formby - I just remember some nice pine trees framing a few holes.....

Erm...not many. My home course, Royal Worlington (9 excellent holes though, but cheating!), Celtic Manor 2010, Wentworth West (though never played it)

Ah - i forgot Wentworth West - I can do that in my head - put probably only because I've seen it on TV so often as I've only played it twice.

I can virtual walk every hole on the 5 or 6 courses i play regularly .
But i sleep with a smile on my face , when i recall my winning back 9 playing a works comp at St Andrews Old , 1983 AD .

I had a birdie 2 at the 11th and finished par par birdie [a chip in from the Valley of sin] :D , for a gross 81 net 71 to win by 1 shot.

My mate in the same 4ball as me was 2nd , but he took a 9 on hole 11, which made us level at that point.:o
Stroke play all the way :whoo:

I am pretty good at remembering the holes on a large number of courses and often "re-live" a round on a particular course if I am having trouble sleeping.
Sadly, the 6th and 15th at Blackmoor have woken me up with night terrors before now.

Nice idea! I don't exactly struggle to sleep and my wife would say I'd not make it past the 2nd 18. However, if I could I'd guess at a fair few......all the local courses (Fylde coast and Preston) which is about a dozen. Add to that off the top of my head Morecambe, Kirkby Lonsdale, Traigh, Skye, Cardross, Worsley Park, Childwall, Mere, Chorley, Accrington.........probably a load more....I'd guess 30 odd out of the 140 odd I've played. Amazing how quickly some of the ones you can't remember come flooding back when you play them again after a few years.
