What do you do if you can't get enough of golf.

The missus is away this week and I have an evening choice of cooking the kids' dinner or going to the course. Not sure what to do.

We have just had a baby and I am missing my 7 day golfing life style. I can be found in my garden swinging a club rather alot atm.

I am going to get a net.

just off to the range as the kids are out with friends as usual. lesson tomorrow night, range wednesday and going to my new club, 9 holes thursday & friday evening, overtime saturday then 18 on sunday

then goto Beau on Tuesday and play pants :)

not a bad week for golf!

Been looking into that recently - but not sure how much use a net is - at least on the range you can see the ball flight. How much do launch monitors cost?

£20k

Get a net and a slow mo camera. Its not all about what the ball is doing, you can learn from what your body is doing when you learn about your swing. Thats my plan anyhow.

I think the trackman is a snip at about £10,000 or so I was told

lock them in a cupboard with a packet of biscuits and get yourself to the golf course.

Thats outrageous Mulligan!!!

Best to give them some diced carrots and a piece of fruit each

Why do you think the rest of us spend all our time talking about golf on here? :D

We're all addicted and can't get enough, when we're working, we're thinking about golf, when we're at home we're thinking about golf and when we walk past a mirror we have an irresistible urge to check our swing.

Sounds like a net is required in your back garden, and sharpish

Funny enough, the other day I was looking at the virtual reality golf systems. I would have to convert my garage, getting rid of the treadmill and weight bench. Would probably need the roof heightened too. Oh buggery. Maybe just a new, bigger house. :(

Sod the bigger house, what you need is a smaller house with more land where you can build your own range. My missus is always going on about wanting a smallholding, she knows there needs to be a strip of land about 30 yards wide and 300yds long for me to put a range in before I'll even consider it.

I use to play or hit balls 7 days a week. In the end it was doing my game no good and I became stale and faults crept in. I'd rather play both days over the weekend (mums health permitting at the moment), take Monday off, play some holes on Tuesday, take Wednesday off and then practice Thursday and try and play a few holes on Friday. Plenty of rest and variation. Happy days and HID doesn't mind either so its all good

30 yard dispersion.... nice :D

Either that or I'll be repairing holes in the side nets quite regularly :D

Find myself sat in meetings at work trying to hone my new grip before my next lesson on Saturday morning, range tonight (only one there) till it closed at 9.30 and was then ebaying looking for alignement sticks as felt a twit walking into the range with two garden canes.

Downside is that due to the three little ones don't get on the course that often and the weekends are tough (this saturday / sunday nil balls hit :()
