This is a link to a story about a 27 year old woman who lives in St Ives and works at Titleist who has a rare cancer for which treatment options in the UK have been exhausted. I don't know the young woman and heard about her through a friend of a friend.
Some of the appeals you read about are for people to go and get experimental or quack treatments which almost certainly will not work. This is not one of those cases. I work in the area of cancer medicine development and have worked with the hospital in Belgium she is hoping to go to and it is a reputable hospital with respected doctors and surgeons.
