As like most on here we love our sports, unfortunately like most on here our time has past.

My passion is running and i have seen 2 runners that are going to be future stars, even champions.

Both really young atm so anything can happen.

First of all an 11 year old boy who i have seen run a few times and running and beating 13 year old quite often.

His name is Charlie Hague and he runs for Exeter Harriers.

The 2nd a girl who is 12 and runs for Cornwall.

Her name is Maisey Luke and out of the 2 she has the most potential and is already an all England cc champion.

Any that you know of,in any sport.

Callum Scott already off +1 at 12. only a little squirt too. Younger brother of Sandy who's off +5 and a collage in the US, Young Callum is supposed to be way better as sand was still of 2 or 3 at that age.

Theo Walcott, went to the same school as my wife and I, my wife is still friends with his sister. And Tom Croft, he wasn't bad! a friends little brother!

EDIT: Just read the OP properly! a FUTURE star.... No i cant. LOL

I know nothing about the Scott brothers but I do wonder whether there is any older brother who is better at his sport than his younger brother. It seems that anytime these discussions come up then the younger brother is always better than his older brother at the same age. Matt Fitzpatrick must be sick to death of hearing how his younger brother is so much better than he was.

Then they discover women and drugs....the rest can be seen hundreds probably thousands of times through history.

most would make this assumption as he was the same age getting to 0 as Tiger and his brother was two or 3 years older when he got to 0.

Well said. I've heard that comment so many times and I can't remember a situation when it actually came true at pro level. As we all, should know, it is not just about talent but desire, determination, temperament, what is between the ears.

There's a pub bore at our place, likes to tell you how many low level amateur football trophies he's won. Anyway he comes out with the usual guff "aye there was this young lad, better than Gazza when they were the same age" zzzzZZZZzzzz
So Gazza tore up a World Cup and your mate has been working in a car wash for 30 years :D

Hopefully my little nephew. Plays county cricket for Leicestershire under 15s (he is only just 13) and has just been picked for England hockey training at his age. He is at the bottom rung and he has not really discovered other distractions yet but he is very committed (plays sport almost every day)

My son represented his country at every junior ice hockey level, played professional at 16 at the highest level in the UK then got a job, a car, a women, all these things come along and suddenly their chosen sport isn't as important as it was.....

Depends what you mean by "star" if you mean making it as a professional, I played age group cricket against Liam Livingstone who has just been called up for the England Squad to play NZ. Was never more than your average junior county player but worked harder than most and got a shot and Lancs and will be their captain this season. Its about working hard at that age but when you turn 18/19/20 the lure of partying becomes too much for most people with high potential dont make it because they want to live their lives like normal young lads and lasses.

I recall watching a County Junior team playing in the English County finals at Frilford.
Four of the team of eight were from my club including two 13 year olds.
I turned to the County 'blazers' watching them and said that we could have a future Walker Cup pairing there.
Two laughed out loud and a couple of others shook there heads.

It so nearly happened, one of the lads was a shoe in at the start of the season but was ultimately treated very badly by the selectors.
The other made the team, and went on to play twice in the Ryder Cup.

Going o/t, but where did he play? Not a sport with the best structure to produce stars, in this country.

Harry Cochrane the 16 year old Hearts midfielder looks a bit special.
His very lightweight frame did not stop him getting the better of Celtic and Scotland's tough captain Scot Brown in a recent game.
