You could be a member at my course for 40 years and not get a discount till you're over 65,
I've been a full member 36 years at this club, probably only a few dozen been here longer.

I had a gap in the 1980s so my count of years started again from 1988. The 40 years must be continuous. People still here from when I was a junior member in 1970s - lots.
My guestimate would be around 20 and growing each year, but one or two of them in the 80+ bracket.

There's no need to give seniors discounts, they're the ones who have all the money these days. ?

The only seniors that get a discount where I play are those that are still surviving from the original scheme. They would be in their 80s upwards now.

My regret was I was offered lifetime membership but I worked out that I would have to live 15 years for it to be a benefit. That was 15 years ago.

I am 35 years in where I play, just thinking about the Saturday players and there are quite a few that were here when I first joined.
Just have to look at the Comp boards and yu see quite a few of their names form the 60s 70, 80s and 90s. One in particular has been here since a junior and his name is on as club Champ 2 years ago, he is probably a 50 year plus member.
