Don't know if anyone can help me, but I'm trying to access Sky via my ps4 and I'm being asked for an authentication code before I can do anything.
I'm getting this error message "2-step verification is enabled. Open your authenticator app and get the verification code. Enter that code here"
Where do I get this authenticator app???
I haven't got a bloody clue, and don't remember setting up "2 step verification".

Load up Sonic the hedgehog and get to level 3. Behind the waterfall through the rainbow of golden rings you’ll see Dr Robotnik. Jump on his head 4 times and he’ll give you the code
;)

Sorry fella, I've not used a PlayStation since they didn't have numbers. I hope someone comes along with a sensible answer for you (y)

authenticator app is on your phone. Is it your sky account or someone else's?

Not a Playstation expert but that sounds like there's a setting on your Sky app? I get a similar thing with my banking app, where I have to just open it and click okay. Do you have the Sky app on your phone or tablet?

It's not Sky asking me, it's PlayStation. I cannot open anything on my ps4, Netflix etc. without being signed into the PlayStation network, and that's where the problem starts ???

You must have 2 factor authentication set up on your account, basically it means you need two forms of identification to access your account rather than one. First is your password, once you enter this correctly it will then ask for your second passcode which is normally either a number sent as text message to your mobile phone, or a number from an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator. You choose how to receive the codes when you set up 2 factor authentication.

I haven't got a playstation, but if its like any other form of 2stage verification, its easy to manage from the web pages. Basically, go to the playstation website, sign into My Account (or whatever is the equivalent) and then go into (most likely) the Security settings. You should be able to manage the 2 stage verification from there. Ie turn it on, turn it off or modify it.

I can't log into my account as it's asking for the verification immediately.
I emailed Sony about it and have got to phone them later and they'll sort it for me.
But it's a pain in the Aristotle.
