Resurrecting a very old thread .......................... for a reason!
I've been asked to make an offer on a mint Epiphone Les Paul Classic in ebony black.
It looks gorgeous but I have no idea on value.
It's a used one and I'm trying to get the age of it and the serial number from the guy who's selling it ..................... I don't want a fake!
Any thoughts?

Be very careful , there's a lot of very good Chinese fakes about that fool a lot of people. Serial numbers mean ziltch, DON'T buy one online!!!. The fakes sell for around £250 including a hard /fitted case .A genuine ones cost in the 1000s.

The guy says it's around eight years old but doesn't have the original receipt from where he bought it .......................... he's also given me the serial number.
Hmmmmm.
