Callaway Kings of Distance.

these increases are very impressive- are the shafts longer? All stock shafts?

.

This was one of my only issues, i was fairly adamant they wouldn't be able to get me any more yards on my ORKA driver as its custom fit to me the finest detail.

As soon as i picked the clubs up i said 'this is a lot longer' as my ORKA is only just over 44inches long - but when i am carrying it 315 i dont need the extra yards. So the Calalway went 10yds further but was almost 2inches longer
Its no different to all these 'go longer' irons that have been de-lofted significantly.

Been rather busy so have not had a chance to get on here to post. What a great day, I can only echo the comments of the others.
From the tips from the instructors to the demonstrations from the pro's and Joe, it was superb.
My thanks to GM and Callaway for putting on such an informative and fun day.

Incredibly disappointed i missed this. Apologies to GM for the no show. Didn't arrive back until Tuesday after a mental 5 day stag do in Barcelona.

Congrats to the winners of the drivers.

Been thinking about this event.

Whilst it was Fab, are Callaway etc missing a trick by not 'selling' their clubs on the day?

imagine if they could say to you 'here is your fitting, the price is £xx (discounted) and you can take it away today'

The could even let you watch your club being built!!!

Instead of it being a fabulous day out though, I guess it would be like a more overt selling opportunity. I imagine they'll get the message across on their products and make a fair few sales on the back of the day - rightly so imo!

I may be wrong, but I understand that the golf club manufacturers are not permitted to sell directly to the public.

This is why you will always find the likes of AG at events such as Golf Live and that all on site purchases are made through them. It is then up to the onsite retailer to determine the price/discount level.

This makes sense to me, seems a little silly, but would clarify why if you go to a fitting centre at a HQ your specs have to be sent back.
