For those old enough, cast your mind back to these.
The reason I ask is I have a 3 wood and absolutely love it, I hit it well. However I'm struggling with my driver and have tried some other recent ones, but with no joy.
So I've stuck a £20 bid for a 10 degree driver as I think I may get away with this. May be something to do with the big heads. How do you tee the ball up with these old school drivers is it more like using a short tee, or is it still teed up high like the modern drivers.
I know this seems to be bucking the trend with all this new technology which should make things easier, but you never know.
Any feedback on the War Bird Drivers appreciated.

Love them. I have the 10 degree driver and i use a slightly lower tee. My only problem i have with mine is that its a steel shaft which i'm not getting on with.
People i play with always think i'm hitting a fairway wood though

I still have my 8.5 degree with a firm shaft in mint condition, will always hold great sentimental value. First driver I went and got specifically for me.

Always regret selling my driver, 3 and 5!

As for teeing, play around till you find the right height for you strike angle, there is not set rule other than about half the ball above the top line of the club head but this is only a start point....

Had the GBB driver when it came out - turned me into a demon driver and won many longest drives with it.

Always wondered if I should have kept it......
