Anyone got one of these bags, any feedback? I am picking one up second hand tomorrow, still in good nick with only slight damage to the one side pocket and costing less than £40 including postage. I know it is a tour bag and supposed to be carried but if anyone has experience of using one on a trolley i would be interested to know.

If you want to lag a tour bag round and play good golf in this hot weather - good luck. Even empty a tour bag will way 10+ lbs and with clubs, balls, drinks etc will be a fair old weight to be moving round.

If you want to get it I would have to say it is a trolley or nothing. If you put it on a trolley you'll have no problems and room to put the kitchen sink in. These bags are like the Tardi and seem bigger on the inside. Just check the pockets before you leave for the course for pets or stray kids !!!

A tour bag fits on a trolley ok but one side of the bag will be resting on the trolley frame therefore you'll lose the use of one of the large side pockets.

You'd be better with a trolley bag which has a bare side to rest against the trolley frame and the pockets are designed to allow this.

Hope you've got the game to back up a tour bag - I've only seen scratch golfrs that play 72 holes every weekend use these!

get a callaway warbird stand bag like mine, it sits on a trolley with the back resting so you can get at all pockets and there is plenty of storage too!

Thanks for all the replies. Well firstly to answer birdieman. No i haven't got the game after a 11-12 year break only played 5 games since returning but averaging 400-600 down the range a month since January and seem to be improving. Played 1st round at Homelands in Ashford Kent last week. I normally play with a friend at Ashford golf club but they are way too expensive too join with £570 a year +£800 joining fee. I kept score for the first time, scored 40 over par for the round but most of that was very poor putting and 7 strikes to get out of one bunker. Alot of four putting, pleased i was on my own as my putting hasn't been this bad before. Was well chuffed to get a few pars and my first ever BIRDIE though and mainly straight driving according to google earth afterwards some were close to 230yards. Joining a club, Homelands Bettergolf or Great Chart, this week or next and then plan to play two or three times a week but don't know many golfers locally.

The bag is the same as shown below

Bit of an ebay bargain got it for £21 + petrol Gordon Brown almost made as much money out of this as the seller. Slight damage to one pocket but that is now fixed and as good as new. Only slight wear and tear. Not finding the bag too heavy either loaded, but will get a pull trolley tomorrow.

Hope i am not about to look like the typical 'all the gear but no idea guy' well not after the first tee anyway. Just keen and a bargain hunter.

Thanks

might just be me Jim but I dinnae think a tour bag will go too well with a regular pull trolley? you maybe better looking for a 3 wheel trolley which will give you better balance? would look into it before you buy...
