I was very impressed with the wilson tour, played with it the other day and it felt lovely. In terms of alternatives to the Pro V, the Mizuno MP ball is also great, but not good value for money

I posted about this ball in the what have you bought lately thread. I bought some at AG in Moortown prior to the Alwoodley meet. Bought them on a bit of a whim and he did them for £25 for me but i must say i was impressed. Personally i loved the feel off of the putter and had my best putting round for a very long time . Distance wise they were slightly better that the Nxt Tour S that i had been using and it will now be my ball of choice going forward but i will shop around.

Just come back from AG with a box. I like ProV1's for feel but have a fairly slow swing so hoping these might perform at,East the same with same feel.

best thing is you get a box of two with the dozen. Can try those and take the dozen back if you don't like

Got a box of these for £25 from snainton looking forward to trying them as there's a lot of good things being said about them round my club

I have tried them and they feel pretty soft, especially off the putter. They feel a bit softer than my usual ball of choice, Pro V1x, and are very durable.

Deffo worth trying.

Got given a couple to try from AG the other week. Up until now I've been a real hater of Cally balls as they always feel hard and stone like, but these Chrome Soft balls are a different breed. They were lovely to use, soft off the irons, good distance and great to putt with too. A complete surprise to me and way better than I was expecting. The only down side is the price - the Wilson DX3 Soft/spin is at least £10 a dozen cheaper and just as good a ball.

As I said in anther thread Golf Depot are knocking these out at 20 notes now. Only problem is the postage which adds a few quid on, but if you live near the shop then bargain alert.

Well I got a sleeve of these and must admit liked them they felt good off driver and irons and nice and soft off the putter a whole round good ball. I must go as well with the other guys with the AD333 and Tour version again good balls. Lucky that we have had a golf day at work so presently have a nice few Pro v's but will be having either Callaway or the AD33 tour in the bag when I loose the freebies!

Hit em Straight ............... ish

Starting to feel a bit 'plasticky' now the weather is warming up and not really delivering the benefits they once were.

Going to get out the PROV1's again this weekend and keep my Chromesofts for when it's not as warm.

I've now played my last 6 matches with the chrome soft (ex the mixed greensomes one!) and I have no problems with the performance of the ball relative to the B330 S models or ProV1 (it's closer to this than the x in feel). Big thumbs up.

Where it falls down is in the cover durability. on a purely subjective measure it's just that little bit softer and less durable than the ProV1 from a couple of years ago (the newer models improved on this noticeably).

Overall I would agree with those that suggest it feels a little on the soft side around the greens - but if that's what you want then that's what you get!

Spin and distance are fine.
