I currently use a cobra 10.5 degrees which is now due for a change. Iv been thinking about getting a PingG15 but iv been told to get 9 degrees loft. Iv no idea what loft i should be using.
would appreciate a few suggestions.

The G15 is a reasonably high launch club, and Ping lofts tend to run higher than marked, so maybe those are the reasons for the suggestion.

Not that it matters because you should get properly fitted for the new driver and that fitting will tell you what loft (and more importantly, what shaft) to get. The loft may be 9 degrees, may be something else.

A pro at my club told me as I had a higher handicap I needed a lesser loft on my driver. I will be getting fitted hopefully next week but just wanted to know the reason for changing my loft size as im driving the ball 250yrds on average and didnt see a need for change

Hhmmmnn.

9 isn't a lot, but all swings are different.

hindmarshsl is trying to find a 9 (ish), because his drives balloon from time to time.

He hits it a LONG way.

However, one of my irregular partners uses a 10.5 with a slow swing and it suits him great. Given his other distances, I'm surprised they get up.

Do you have any idea of your swing speed?

To be honest out of context it means little. I wouldn't judge unless I was there and heard the whole conversation.
My g15 does still hit a very high ball due to me seemingly hitting down on it a little.
