I'm due to play in my first medal next week and yesterday my boatbuilders knee decides to flare up and at the moment in a fair bit of pain. Has anyone else experienced this and what was your time of recovery. At the moment I can't see me making next weeks comp, but I might give it till midweek to make my mind up

It's that bad today I can hardly walk on it. Have dosed up on ibuprofen tried the ice pack and voltarol gel to no avail. If it's no better tomorrow then it's s week of work, work entails a lot of kneeing down and I'm in no fit state to do that. 😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔

Pack it in ice and rest it.

Before you play I would take a couple of Nurofen BUT it it's hurts mid round then stop, the more damage you may do to it the longer the recovery time will be next time.

I played through the pain in my left knee, ended up damaging it and had to sit out playing golf for 3 months while it healed fully.

Had a round booked this morning and let my PP know last night I wouldn't be playing. No way I could make a swing as my knee is too stiff, walking anywhere and especially tackling stairs is painful.
