Budget waterproofs

When you say "budget", what price are you looking at?

I have always found waterproof trousers a pain because there aren't many cheaper manufacturers out there who make them with an inside leg longer than 33". Proquip are one who do, and the last pair I bought set me back about £60 and do the job just fine.

Preferably about £100 for the full set.

Or less obviously if there's a bargain to be had

A few months ago. It was their parent company I believe, Edinburgh Woollen Mill, and they were an unfortunate casualty.

Benross make superb quality waterproofs, well worth a look.

I was just about to post that my mate can't praise them enough, I use proquip px5 jacket and trousers and haven't let me down in the 2 years IV owned them

I have had my sunderland waterproofs for over 21 years now and they are still going strong, granted the bottoms make me look like I am auditioning for a mc hammer concert? But they still do the job.

I got mines from Rydale Country Clothing, i use them for when im Grouse Beating and will be using them for Golf now to. ?

Avid skiers and snowboarders, especially those in wetter climates, should look for waterproof ratings in the 10,000 mm to 20,000 mm range or better.
