While enjoying my nightly soak and indulging in my recently arrived GM I came across the superb picture (page 54) of Bubba hitting his Masters winning shot from deep in the trees (but not in knee length rough like some members of the forum thought he should have done).
Like all iconic photos you probably don’t know it will be one until sometime later, for all the photographer knew he could have double crossed it and ended up in the trees on the other side of the fairway. A picture of the man who came 2nd would have been a quick delete button hit.
But there he was, right place, right time, with what looks like a wide lens distorting the edges to frame Bubba, great picture.
From a purists point of view a little fill in flash would have helped but may have proved a little distracting to the great shot maker.
