Brexit Stockpile

And I thought this was where every b..... post was going to be dumped, cleaning up the forum....:(
Ach - all that needs to happen is for all the Brexit BS to be scooped up and dumped into DfTs stockpile storage - out of sight - out of mind ;)

More will be generated over the coming months but that can be tidied away to the stockpile...

Toilet Roll!

82 Toilet rolls last count in the store, some left over from the Covid shortages.
My friends in the know say that the covid shortages will be chicken feed compared to the Brexit ones.
And before the 'usual suspects' start spouting off my friends in the know have called it absolutely spot on up to now.(y);)

My cousin in down in Staffs is another convinced by serious shortages post Brexit transition and is stockpiling, he was telling my old mother in her 90s about it which I think was a bit stupid to be honest, last thing she needed to hear although I don't think she took him all that seriously.
I haven't given shortages too much thought but you can rest assured that a little gossip and the hint of loo rolls being understocked will turn the selfish UK public into a mob of panic-buying cretins.

With this Govt in charge it hardly inspires confidence though, seem to roll from one policy shambles into another. Expect some kind of blitz spirit messaging along the lines of 'We're all in it together' soon. Not that they'll suffer from any shortages personally of course.......

Every time the same suspects start spouting off about Brexit shortages I ask the same old question and get the same old silence.
Here we go again.

Why would the UK want to prevent the import of essential items?

From a man who spouts the holier than thou line more than most :cautious:
You have completely lost any respect I might have had for you.

Och loosen your collar man.;)
I bought 90 rolls online for about 30p each [free delivery] really good quality, better than top price supermarket ones, unknown brand name.

We will only see genuine shortages if the same muppets as before stockpile. Companies, freight companies etc have had 12 months, plus Brexit, to get ready. It wont be smooth for the first few weeks but the only ones spouting shortages are the ones wanting there to be shortages so they can say 'told you so'. They are trying to create fear and momentum towards panic buying again.
