I was there on a sunny day a few years ago with work. Plenty of money there, big retirement area, nice place but a pretty small beach from memory. That made me smile as the papers often seem to use a picture of Bournemouth beach on a sunny day, 'phew wot a scorcher '. Get the angle right and it looks rammed with thousands but in reality it is a bit deceptive.

Not the bit by the centre, surely not. It didn't look long at all. It may be 11 miles but that is with breaks in, must be 🤔.

Top 20 beaches in the world? They can't have seen many. I can give you plenty in Northumberland, Anglesey, North Wales that make a mockery of Bournemouth.

The judging criteria must have been seriously weird.
