I think the answer is No but want clarification please as someone said it was OK.

Foursomes and your partner misses a putt. You'd assumed they would sink the putt so don't have your putter with you even though you are on the green. To save having to go and get your putter can you use your partners putter and then give it them back.

That's what made me ask as I'd forgotten about it. They were sure it could be done but didn't as I'd said no.

I think you were correct. Again its a rule I wouldn't have even thought about if it wasn't for that other thread.

In foursomes you could share the putter in certain circumstances - ie provided that between the two partners they did not have more than 14 clubs.(Unlikely I know, but easily possible). See LiverpoolPhil's answer at post #2 in the other thread.
