Currently reading Splinter by Sebastian Fitzek (on my Kindle, if that counts). Not too far in but seems promising.

Have also just finished the Stieg Larsson trilogy and thoroughly enjoyed them. Keeping my eyes peeled for any sign of Lee Child's next book (if there is a next one)...I cannot get enough of the Jack Reacher series. Any fans on here?

Still working my way through Blair's biog

Might swap it for the victorian romp that's on BBC at the moment with the lovely redhead in it - apparently the tv version is "very true to the book" , in which case it shoudl be good for the blood circulation ;)

I've just finished reading Andre Agassi's autobiography "Open", its a good read, his old man was a real pushy parent. I like my crime thrillers too and I've just started reading Val McDermid's "Distant Echo". I've got the 1st of Stieg Larsson's trilogy to read next.

Another gr8 series is Roy Grace by Peter James. And Dan Sheperd by Stephen Leather.

Like the Stephen Leather books. Just resd the last 10 seconds by simon kernick aswell, second of his books ive enjoyed

I read a lot - have read a large number of the books on this thread.

Really have to recommend "Power of the Dog" by Don Winslow. Anybody who enjoys any sort of crime novel will enjoy it - one of the best I've read. Was recommended to me on an internet forum and I was glad I took the chance. Its about the drugs trade over the Mexico/USA border.

Bought the latest John Grisham and Mark Billingham novels a the weekend - I particularly like the Thorne series of books. Stuart MacBride's books are also good.

If you like life on mars, then read the Charlie Owen books, a very funny , fantastic read.

If you are in the Police , you will of known and worked with people like this.

Midnight...

Yip I also enjoy the Jack Reacher books.

They're world class pal. I want to be Jack Reacher when i'm older, that'd do me nicely.

Got a fair few more to go through before i'm up to date mind. I just love how a good book, like the Lee Child 'Reacher' novels, can give you a much bigger sense of satisfaction and enjoyment than a multi-million pound film. Being able to lose yourself in the power of a good book is something that has become more and more under appreciated.

Thanks for the tip off! Just bought it on kindle for the train commute, was looking for a new book.

I enjoyed most of the steig larson millenium series first book, but felt like the end dragged on a bit which put me off reading the next ones.. i'll get round to it sooner or later.

Recently read Jonathan Frantzen The Corrections which was right up there with anything i've ever read before, so currently reading 'how to be alone' by same author.

Also two books into the dark tower Stephen king series.

This is when i get time in between the Hairy McLairy from Donaldson's Dairy series!

The trilogy was actually going to be six books but he died before completing them, had heard a ghost writer had tried to finish the job through the notes etc he left behInd!

Right, now just about to start James Patterson,- Run for your Life.

Raven Black was an excellent read.

Bumped off from what i have heard. Personally think the first book is the best and the next two get weaker, although still a good read. Reading Jo Nesbo at the moment, and they are not bad.

If you haven't read them ,try the Michael Connelly, Harry Bosch, books.
