Planning a trip to Portugal in April and looking to book some golf in. Not been to Portugal for golf before, used to going to Spain, and we use GolfInSpain when booking golf. Is there a service like that for Portugal? Where we can book multiple courses easily in one place? Where do you guys use?

Been the last two years, going again next year. Used Golfbreaks.com thus far, been very happy with them.

Amendoeira is good value, done that one twice, going somewhere different next year.

I am tempted to get away for a bit of last minute sun in the next few months

If you go alone to these resorts do they match you up with others to play with?

golf amigos..

or go to Pestana Golf, they will sort our golf and accommodation for you

went earlier in the year (44 in total) 7 nights B&B, flights from Birmingham, car hire and 5 rounds of golf about £500. we had two to a room and 4 to a car, to keep costs down, some shared thier cases, so that keeps the extra baggage cost down too

Nah then, there are loads of places both here and in Portugal that will book your courses. IT IS an odd set up that you can book golf cheaper going through a third party than booking direct. To that extent I would enquire through an established popular golf booking agency. Then I would contact Claire lester at either of the below contact addresses. I used them on my last swarree and they were both reliable and very very cheap.

Try them on www.lesters-golf.com or lestersgolf@gmail.com

We have always used YGT as we have found it to be cheaper than golfbreaks. Amendoeira is very good value for money and in April, it wont be overly busy. We are going to be booking our annual portugal trip up soon and thats likely to be in april. If its the same time as us, you could always join us for a round.

Thanks for the advice chaps. We've found a good deal on a hotel and flights that we're happy with, so I'll take a look at the sites suggested for the golf and see what we can sort out!

Looking at doing the same thing. Do the prices quoted on websites such as golf breaks and your golf travel include flights as well as the accommodation and the golf? Find all these golf holiday websites so vague and lacking of information.

If booking flight and hotel seperate, like has been done that is no problems whatso ever. Most probably do it that way. But look at booking your golf before you go. Otherwise you may struggle for times that you prefer to play.
There are plenty of blogs on what courses to play, but a lot depends on where you are staying and how you get to courses. If you are driving obviously you have more choices. I did drive, so was able to take advantage of twilight courses and cheaper rates. This was one of the advantages of talking to Claire lester who knew all the little tricks of keeping your golfing fees down.😉

Not unless it specifies it. Golfbreaks don't usually include flights, we've used BA the last two years at very reasonable flight costs.

Usually I look at booking flights and find costs of said flights. Then have a look on trip advisor at place to stay eg Vilamoura, ratings and costs. See if there is availability then book flights and then hotel. If flying to Portugal then 9 times outta ten your flying to Faro.
Then look at booking golf courses. It's easy peasy lemon squeezy.

I book flights up when i feel they are at their cheapest and then book the hotel / golf when i find a good deal. Rarly do i book hotel and flights up at the same time.
