Evening all ,

Anyone recommend any companies that offer the above with a yearly boiler service check. We were with one company but they have just hiked the price up.

Cheers

Find a local tradesman amd save your money, you,'d be surprised at how much you'll save.

How old is your boiler?

100% get in touch with a local plumber, have it serviced, and do the same every year.
Take it from someone in the trade when i say that going with these big companies who charge for annual cover is a waste of money; poor workmanship, try their best to wriggle out of covering your claims and to them you are just a number.
Support your local plumber and they will look after you, and will give you honest work.

Prime example...got called out to an old chaps house who wanted quote for new boiler as his had broke down. The large company he had cover with had been to it and told him part was obsolete and it needed new boiler, costing over £3000.
Quick call to local merchants...they had the part required in stock, went and got it and fitted it same day for under £200.

Went with British Gas Homecare 400, covers everything from plumbing to electrical, been with them 8 years, includes annual service etc, never had an issue and had them out out at all hours for everything from blocked drain to dripping radiator.
Good peace of mind for missus when I was away.

I was with British Gas Homecare until recently, they wanted to charge me £40 a month.

Have shifted to Aviva Insurance, same level of cover with a small excess to pay if needed. Also includes a new boiler if required (have to pay first £500 if it's over 7 years old) all for £18.50 a month.

Happy Days.

Ours is 7 years old. Have had the odd murmor, but a bit of flicking of switches and resets has sorted things. Never had it serviced. My cousins a plumber and said that it's not worth doing. Which boiler is best? They're all as bad as one another with Worcester edging it. Ours is a Ferroli, who if you look on the next are rubbish. Not so I've found.
So (£18.50 x 12) x 7 = A lot of wine....er money.
