Blippin weather...

How many times have you given the advice "you can't buy a game?"

Says the man who shelved a recently purchased set for the I15's and said he didn't regret it for a minute!

Your post about buying new clubs comes about two weeks after you posted that you were going to have to pull out of every meeting that you had put your name down for next year because you were worried about your job and finances. ;)

I15's will be financed partially through HID's bonus, and a joint Xmas present between my mum and the outlaws so definitely no extra expenditure from our own pockets.

You know what I probably should be off low single figures and to be honest it really p****s me off that I'm not given the effort I put in. However I enjoy the work and still have faith that single figures is there for the taking. If anything it is a mental problem with the short game that is really holding me back. I am striking the ball pretty well (much better in 2010 than last year) and that was with the weird lift out of the shot I possess. The fact I'm now working on that can only bode well.

The "answer to my prayers" was meant tongue in cheek. The TP's are doing the job but I've loved the I15's since first hitting them and I put it to you that it's like a punter coming to your car lot over and over and looking at the same car. You know he probably has a perfectly serviceable car doing the job already but he's fallen for yours and slowly but surely he keeps coming back to it.

So there you go. Not looking for a huge debate but just wanted to make sure we weren't under any doubt that money is still an issue (I'm sure it is for many) and that the threat of my job going still hangs like Damacleses sword so can't really commit to anything playing wise. If I decide to give in and join the good ship Ping it'll be because of the Xmas generosity of others.

I would, and have, only ever bought new irons, when i am playing and swinging well. To buy them when not playing well, thinking they will suddenly improve your game, can be a costly mistake.

As you can imagine i have not had many new sets. ;) ;) ;)
