Isle of Man golf courses

I’m having a short break in September to the IOM . I’m going to take my clubs and have a round , I know Castletown is highly regarded but is a bit spenny but I’m not discounting it but. can anyone recommend a good cheaper course ?

Castletown is by far the best, but Ramsey and peel are good courses too. Pulrose and rowany have some good holes, they suffer in the winter but will be fine in September. Mount Murray will be in good nick but some people find it a bit of a slog and has 6 par 3s. Check for open competitions or ring the pro shops as you may get deals if it’s quiet
