Disagree with that, If I hit every green in regulation my woods\irons would be in pretty good shape but I'd expect to be further from the hole and have more putts than I would if I missed every green and chipped on.

Agree with that. Likewise if you flubb every chip to about 20foot from the hole then you stand more chance of beating your putting record... I'd rather have 18 x 1 inch putts.


Imagine holing a huge amount of putts and then chipping in on the last 2 holes - you'd be gutted
