How many chances do you get on an average round and how many do you make ?

Probably about one for me as my short game is sh...ocking at the moment :p

As a rule I hit 7-10 GIR and sink between 1 and 2 of them.
Not, generally, because my putting is poor but its more to do with how close my approach shots finish from the pin.

My GameGolf stats (8 rounds logged so far), indicate that I hit 38% GIR, so 7 or so per round. During that time I have had 11 birdies.

Having said that I haven't holed a putt from more than 6 feet in my last 4 rounds, so if I can get the wand going again soon the birdie count should increase

I generally hit somewhere between 4 & 7/8 GIR in a round. Technically every one of those is a birdie opportunity but i realistically would only say half of the GIR are decent birdie opportunities for me.

last time i played i had 5 birdies on the short winter course, but one of those is only a 200 yarder. Prob had about 4 other realistic chances as well.

some days lots other not a sniff, i imagine next time none;)

It depends on the day but I probably average two or three. Most I have had in one round is 7 (twice), most in a row 6 and two weeks ago i birdied the first 3 holes. However, some days I can hit loads of greens but not hole a thing. Once hit 16 greens in one round and missed every birdie putt.

I reckon yesterday I gave myself 9 birdies chances but only took one

Normally grab around 2 or 3 a round

4 rounds of data up to now.

Gir 63.9%
Puts per round 32.25
Ave total distance per round 58.3ft
Putts gained is -1.791

not good really for the amount of GIR's im hitting, but not too worried as the greens not rolling good at moment.

Not sure of my percentages but I know that I don't convert as much as I should.

Yesterday at Blackmoor I probably had 8-9 chances and managed 4 birdies. Not typical but a welcome change. I am pretty sure that the greens being true really helped.

I hit roughly 10 GIR in a round at my home course. however I normally walk away with either my token 1 or none birdies at all.

Here lieth why I can't make that step to single figures !!!

Generally my putting is pretty decent however, The greens I do hit in regulation I'm often left with a lengthy put for birdie which generally result in a tap in par !!!!

Arhh the frustration .......

I usually have at least a couple of chances of birdie a round and usually mess most up lol! I prob average at least one actually birdie every couple of rounds. Most of mine come from chipping in or chipping close on the par 5's. Prob not too bad seeing as I'm off a high hcp. Most I've had is 3 in one round, done it a few times now.

I had 4 in a row today! Was well chuffed, and they certainly helped shake off the 3 balls straight OB on the hole before to run started...

wow that's good

only had 2 in a row and strived for years to better that- really smartens up your card if you get a run going. I once had 2 in a row, par, another 1, par, another 1, par, and 1 more, par at the last, Back in 30 and won the medal. Never done it again.

You converted very well on Thursday - each one dropping straight in the middle. Could see you were gaining confidence with the putter throughout the round
