Birdie chances

If my irons are on I expect to convert a couple per round, hopefully about a quarter of the chances drop through 18.

The rest are solid pars which was the plan from the tee, birdies are the nice to haves on top.

4 good birdie opportunities on the front 9 today and 2 on the back but unfortunately I didn't convert any of them as the greens were tricky this morning but nothing more than a 2-putt all day, on any other day they could drop and what a card that would be for me!

Had 3 back to back birdies at Kenilworth off the back sticks in a comp with 5 in that round for my first sub 80 :D

According to Game Golf i'm on 28% of greens in regulation but do not score too many birdies.

However i had two today..... in 13 holes one was a good 25 foot putt the other was a good 12 foot breaking putt

I do seem to miss one or two a round where I think there should of been a birdie but I have to say I am never disappointed with a par

If I can hit the approach to within 2 feet, I'm in with a birdie chance. My putting has been atrocious recently, but when I get my Odyssey 2-ball putter, everything will be OK . . . hopefully.

I hit roughly 10 GIR in a round at my home course. however I normally walk away with either my token 1 or none birdies at all.

Here lieth why I can't make that step to single figures !!!

Generally my putting is pretty decent however, The greens I do hit in regulation I'm often left with a lengthy put for birdie which generally result in a tap in par !!!!

Arhh the frustration .......

Lies lies lies.......

No you don't Chris.

Today you hit 5 GIR of which you converted sod all for birdie. In fact of the 5 you did hit you only managed to par 4 of them.

Get back to the drawing board and start again....

10 birdie putts today. 5 half decent chances and another couple makable, ended up with 1 birdie. On a shot hole. In a bogey comp.
