Played at Sundridge Park for the first time yesterday, courtesy of Roger (Leftie). What a fantastic course. Two courses there, (the East & West), we played the East which is the slightly longer of the two and not so hilly. Quite tight in places, but the fairways and greens were exceptional.
Went with two other mates of mine, Norman & Ray.
After hitting the worst opening tee shot I have hit in years (nobbled it about 50 yards off the tee in front of about a dozen other people) I managed to hit a good 5 wood recovery out of the semi, wedged on and canned a putt that must have been at least 30' long to salvage par. We had a match going (Norman and I versus Leftie and Ray) as well as an individual Stableford. I was quite chuffed to come off the 9th with 20 points, Roger had 18, Norman 16 and Ray 14. Norm and I were one up in the match too.
Back 9 didn't go according to plan with me scoring a terrible 11 points (including 2 blobs), but Rog scored 19, Norman also had 19 and Ray 16. So Rog won the money with 37 points. Well done mate, some really good play and your chipping in particular was very impressive. The match finished all square too, so honours even.
Just wanted to say a big Thanks to Roger. The perfect host and looking forward to a re-match at Highwoods in a few weeks time. Norman and Ray thoroughly enjoyed the day too, and also send their thanks.

T'was a pleasure taking your money mate :D :D

You forgot to mention that I had a 3 footer on the 18th for the match and a 5 footer back to halve it. Just toying with you :o :o

Glad you all enjoyed it. Great company, good(ish) golf and a fair result in the match.

Looking forward to the return at your gaff.

Sounds a good day lads.

Don't sound like Lefties operation had affected his Golf too much?

Need to fix up a meet this summer......
