Over the Easter break I managed to fall A-over-T and bruise some ribs. Thought at one stage I wouldn't be able to play the Medal today but it seemed a bit better this morning so I went for it.

So where the hell does this "Beware the injured Golfer" rubbish come from then?
Started double bogey, bogey, double bogey, bogey, bogey - that's nearly 3/4 of my shots gone in the first 5 holes!

Settled down a bit after that, made some pars but still dropped a few shots and finished nett 73 (+4) so 9.7 here we come. Managed to hit a couple of 250+ drives which cheered me up a bit.

To be fair, almost every shot hurt like hell except when I absolutely creamed one - no pain then!??

Going out again friday when I hope the ribs have soothed a bit.

I know where you are coming from. Played yesterday and really struggled to make a good turn and so wasn't playing great at all. I was better down the range when I'd been taking the painkillers etc and so was numb to the pain but concentrating on a smoother swing with the inevitable better results
