Best scores and bandits

I've played off 18 for years, not being a member of a club and not playing comps, and my actual handicap is now 18.6.
A few years ago I was playing Valle del Esta in Spain and I was level par after seven holes and +2 after nine for 25points.
On that basis, maybe, I was capable of shooting +4 or better, yet I finished the round with 36 points due to a crap back nine.
After nine holes the word bandit was being bandied about, and after eighteen holes ...................... it wasn't!
The higher a players' h'cap, the more likelihood there is for a bandit type score to be had, obviously, but only the player himself knows whether or not the cap fits.
In my mind, a true bandit is a cheat, plain and simple.
I've played a bit over the last 30 odd years but have only reached bandit territory on three occasions. It's those who do this on a regular basis over a long period of time who are bandits ........................ and they know who they are!

Slime.

A bandit is someone who manipulates an artificially high handicap. I've know a few over the years and most get a reputation for it over time at clubs but are adept at doing it within the confines of the CONGU system. I know those that play off relatively high handicaps will get called a bandit every time they shoot well under their handicap but if they are in competitions regularly it's nothing more than sour grapes or "banter". If I was in that position smile with good grace, enjoy your fine round and wait for the cut

Didn't explain myself well, so will try again.

My h/c is 19 i as I don't play a lot of comps, due to the fact I don't think I'm good enough. Been having a good few lessons which have worked wonders for my game and Im now shooting below my h/c.

The three cards I'm putting in are supplemental cards and I will be using my last two (82,87) plus what ever I shoot today, which should see my h/c drop, then once I get a true h/c to how I'm playing now I will then play in the odd comp.

Hope that all makes sense
Thank you for the explanation.
What threw me initially was the reference to 3 cards in the week; which wouldn't normally make sense in the context of supplemental cards but the handicap sec can permit more than 1 per week in special (his call) circumstances.
Good luck.
