What do people think is the best putter/ putter brand. Scotty Cameron, Odyssey, Bettinardi, Toulon, Evnroll or others

Purely an individual choice. You could ask 10 people and get 10 different answers. There is no right or wrong. I am currently using a spider x and think it’s great. Chrisd on the other hand will go through the current putter catalogue on a weekly basis and still be undecided

I understand that, I’m just curious what people’s thoughts are. I have Scotty that I do love, but have also just got a Bettinardi that I seem to like as much. Recently tried an Evnroll but didn’t like the feel.

I love the scotty look but I just don’t like putting with them. Have tried my hardest to like them and get on with them but I can’t.

Im thinking of changing as I like to be a little left field with my golf equipment. Prefer smaller brands or specialist brands rather than the big brands. Just changed my Irons to Orka, my bags are Sun Mountain. Just think Scotty Cameron’s are common and fancy a change that’s why I got the Bettinardi and Evnroll but didn’t like the Evnroll.

Does the name matter? Isn't it more important to have the clubs that get the ball in the hole in the least number of shots?

If you get a buzz from going down that route, fine crack on. Each to their own.

Every time I play around at American Golf I always find I love the Evnroll the most. They just feel so balanced, the balls goes nicely off the face and I never seem to miss 😄. Unfortunately even second hand the prices don't seem to drop 😭 so I don't have one. If anyone wants to sell one at half their value, let me know 😄

In terms of the pro game the Scotty Cameron brand seems to dominate and would be seen to be the top brand.

As others have said, it is so personal but the answers are for fun so there you go.

Yeah that is true but if I’m honest I’ve got on pretty well with all my putters in the past once I found a style of putter that suited me.

Just sold my Evnroll that I had. I agree it is personal but it’s nice to see options

In addition I think Ping putters are very good, nicely balanced and consistent. If you get the right one Odyssey do nice putters as well.

Scotty's look great but I don't get any lovely feel from them.

People who have Edel putters seem to love them so they are worth considering. You don't tend to see them knocking around in shops though so you don't get to play with them, they are fitted.

I'm a Betti fan! Had 20 at one stage, but sold all but 2 a while ago; now got half a dozen again.

Never really got on with Scottys - except for those made by Bettinardi! I do seem to get on wih the 'solid' Seemores too.

Putters are definitely 'personal', so, until you find 'The One', it's definitely worth trying a bunch of them every opportunity and noting which ones feel best - for you.

I do like my Bettinardi if I’m honest think I prefer it over the Scotty. Something is drawing me to Odyssey Toulons though

I'm a bit of a Luddite and don't like what I call the boutique brands on principle.

You can't fault the build quality of the big names but you're still swinging a bit of metal on the end of a stick.
Whatever make it is it will have a sweet spot, the art of putting is marrying your ball to the sweet spot on the right line and at the right pace.

I used a JB Halley Model 100 tonight, the last time I used it I putted beautifully, tonight was dire.
Below is a Spalding Cash-In that you can pick up easily on ebay, one of the most reliable putters I've got.

You'll have to try them then! Otherwise that itch will niggle away at you until you do! It's a case of finding the right one though! All the Bettis felt 'comfortable' and performed precisely as their style suggested they should, but my natural style ,eans I get on with Centre-Shafted ones best, so thats what all mine are now - BB23, BB43 and Baby Ben/Bee. Unfortunately, the gorgeous BB2 just doesn't suit my style - and I've had several (4 or maybe 5 from memory).

FOR YOU!

Though thanks for jogging my memory about the (modern, hand made) TP Mills ones I got on well with - ex another, and even bigger putter 'Ho' than me!

One advantage of that Cash-In is that it's suitable for lefties too! I had a Betti Riviera that I loaned to a guy who, to avoid yipping, putted short ones left-handed. He could use the same putter for whichever style he chose.

Bit harsh Chris, he wouldn't need the whole week.
