best putter in you opinion?

I have never ever understood the love in for Scotty's...vastly overpriced in my opinion but there are plenty fools that'll pay it.

Putters are no different to any other club, there isn't 1 stand out putter but there are a number of very good ones but at the end of the day if it costs you £3 and is made of cheap components but you cannot miss with it then that IS the best putter!

^^^wot 'e said...........although I vote for the Scotty

Try them both, you might find neither is right, or you may find you prefer the feel of one more than the other, I have a Scotty, but tried a friends ping and would have been happy to switch, and I love my Scotty!!

Is the right answer.

Only way to.find out is try 'em

If you prefer the Anser style then the Ping Redwood is the best by a long way.

The balance of the club is down to personal preference, some people like the head to be heavy, others like the grip end to be heavy. My advice is to get a putter fitting to find the length, lie and balance you prefer. In my opinion the putter is the most important club to be custom fitted.

Eyes over the ball or just inside
Hands under the shoulders
Putter head lies flush to the ground

Ping redwood series by far

My Zing model and I couldnt miss today :D

When my stroke is good its the most amazing feeling, I can never blame the club, its always my stroke or green read.

Have had both Scotty's and Pings and in my opinion the Pings just shade it.

However I actually think Odyssey are better than both and can see me having my current White Hot Tour #5 in the bag for quite a while.

With putters that good its what feels best in your hands, its like asking which is better apple pie or rhubarb crumble, both are great, with custard of course. :D ;)

Another shout for an Odyssey, i have a white hot xg #1 which is great especially on quick greens. Was well pleased when i tried a Scotty and didn't get on with it. Saved me a tidy sum. ;)

I don't think there's a lot in it for me - why pay over the odds for essentially the same thing. So, Ping Answer for me.

But, I'll stick with my Odyssey Sabretooth as I'm getting great roll and distance with it at the moment!

I had a Scotty Cameron Newport Beach but for the past year I have been using a Redwood Anser, in my opinion the Redwood's the better putter.

You feeling ok? the Beach putters are the best out there

It's all about personal preference, but for me the Ping is the better putter. If the Beach putters were the best out there all the pros would be using them and they aren't.

Cost doesn't matter though, does it???

Putting is all about confidence so if your putter costs £10 or £1,010, it's all immaterial as it's how the putter makes you feel that makes the difference.

The best putter I had was a Bronty GreenMaster IV (or something like that) when I was 13. It cost no more than £10 and I loved it.

Then it got nicked.........

Been through all manner of shapes and inserts trying to find "the one". Still got my original Anser 2 from the 80's which gets an outing every now and then but I think my Odyssey #9 is the best I've used for a very long time. I'm supremely confident with it especially on the 4-6 footers. I am not a huge Scotty fan and think you are paying way too much for the name and so would opt if I had to decide/ Cameron v Anser on the Ping

Yes are quality putters. The yes sophia putter will soon be a new addition to my bag

I like the look of 2 or 3 YES putters but still have not had the chance to try them. I was impressed with my friends Odyssey Black Series No 1, Perfect weight and feel
