Best prem 11

There really have been some great players in the prem over the years.

Schmiechel, top of his game for years and a massive presence.

Neville, mr reliable and a fantastic trainer.
Ferdinand,in his prime awesome, quick and a great organiser.
Terry, has been great for years, great in both boxes and a very good captain.
Cole, simply the best left back England has produced, quick and had a superb engine.

Keane, maybe a bit biased but he was a leader by example, got the best out of some
mediocre players.
Gerrard, has been at the top for a decade or more, quick, strong and great in both boxes.
Giggs, just love the man, someone called him the Rolls Royce of wingers, named my boy after him.
Ronaldo, yes hes got better since he left the prem and this was my hardest choice, but hes great in
the air and fantastic with both feet.

Shearer, just done it year in year out and he scored some crackers.
Henry, pace to burn and an Arsenal legend.

Tough to leave some legends out.

Zola
Berkamp
Cantana
Beckham
Scholes
Viera

Schmeichel

Neville
Terry
Ferdinand
Cole

Keane
Gerrard
Scholes

Ronaldo
Henry
Suarez

Subs:
Southall (miles better than Seaman)
Vidic (before he seen Torres's ghost)
Vieira
JJ Okocha
Giggs
V Nistelrooy
Shearer

Could easily come up with half-a-dozen equally strong teams, but IMO the best 4 centre backs that have played in the Prem are Terry, Stam, Desailly and Adams. Would also put Kompany ahead of Ferdinand and Vidic.

Each to their own matey. I've not seen a better defender than Rio IMO. Even Hansen a Liverpool stalwart used to refer to him when other defenders made moves to the "Ferdinand zone" penalty spot. I'd probably have stam, Terry, desailly and Adams as equal partners. But rio would be my first pic every time.

Rio? I thought all the Ferdinand shouts on here were for Anton! :p

Nothing against Rio, just think all the others are better, particularly later in the careers. But as you say, each to their own. Always going to get so many different opinions with these kind of debates. So many great players to try and get into an all time best Prem 11!

I would also put Hyypia and Carra in top Cb list - both outstanding in the prem

Agree with this.

No Egos in my team:whistle:

Schmeichel

Cole
Ferguson
Adams
Paul Parker

Ronaldo
Gazza
Keane
Kanchelskis

Cantona
Shearer.

I agree, granted Italia 90 was before my time. But I wouldn't have him near any of my teams. Then again, that's because I think Le Tissier was better.

Well he left for Lazio in 92 and then was back in 2000 as his career was ending

Your right Phil, he left Spurs in 92. Seems like yesterday though,How time flies.

I think I'll leave him in though, he might get upset if I drop him ;)

Im guessing its players that shouldnt have signed for the Mancs alongside players that did

Amazed you have Parker instead of Irwin

I would of loved to put him in there, but he played mainly as a left back. Neville's the obvious choice for right back but even with his newly acquired popularity via Sky I still think he's a knob.

Saying that, I think Duncan Ferguson would of told him to wind his neck in.

Come on mate - they're not in the top 5 of all time Liverpool centre backs! Not in the same class as Razor Ruddock and Glenn Hysen!!

On a related point, played in a charity game the other week in the same team as Dave Beasant, John Wark, Alan Kennedy, Steve Sedgeley, Andy Sinton, Paul Walsh, Luther Blissett and Kerry Dixon - boy those guys can all still play! Mind you it did help having two current pros in Nicky Shorey and my brother who have played premiership football in the last few years doing all the hard work! Played CB alongside Wark with Kennedy at left back and it was a brilliant experience.
