Basically I'm looking to sell some gear and do not have enough posts on here to sell in the Sell/Buy section. Ebay can be a pain in the bum at times and you get raped on the advertised/sell/paypal fees.

Without turning this into an actual sale thread (which may get me a telling off), could a few of you please recommend to me a few decent sites to try. The gear I am selling is not usual off the shelf stuff, so I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Admin - I'm sorry if this appears to breach any rules but I'm stuck and will understand if you wish to remove my post.

Thanks

John

clubs probably golf bidder is the easiest/best known. ebay although a ripoff and a pain in the bottom is probably your best bet, but why not look at gumtree, local paper etc,

Just get your post count up on here - Job Done!

I'd love to but in the terms and conditions in the sale section, anyone appearing to bump their number of posts in order to sell is going to become a cropper. ( See - I have read them!)

I'm a bit of a lurker. I've been a member of an airgun forum for over 12 years and only have 1000 or so posts! There always seems to be someone better qualified to answer stuff than I, so I tend back off a bit. The thing is as well, even though I am a relatively low handicap of 7, I swing it like the ******* love child of Jim Furyk and John Daly - a bit like an octopus in a hurricane, so I'm not really qualified to give advice to folk.

I do like being here though!

I didn't mean to post randomly, just get involved! If ability restricted postings there'd be less than half as many posts as there are!

Ebay isn't so bad if you allow enough in your prices for the fees. Recently I've listed items with a Buy It Now or Best Offer rather than auction and have been happy with the sale price. That way you can list them over a 25 day period or something and it's a matter of hoping the buyer who wants just what you're selling happens across your listing. If it doesn't sell then you get a free re-list.

I've just sold 2 hybrids, 1 driver and 3 fairway woods on that basis.

Hi Amanda

Good idea! Thanks for that. My Missis normally sorts out the ebay stuff 'cos I'm a bit rubbish at it. I'll give that a go I think.

Cheers!

I always list on ebay as a buy it now price and never an auction that way your item can sell at any time (mine usually sell within a few days)

Have a fair price and fair postage and you can't go wrong

No probs. There's not the thrill of watching your item end at auction and hoping for a final late bidding war but it feels less hassle. Sure you may get some silly offers but to date that's not been the case with me and, like Coatsy79 they usually go in a few days.
