What is the point of putting your name down for a fantastic opportunity like this if you're not 100% sure you can attend?
Surely if you need to book a day off work or get approval from the "home office", you should do that first and then put your name in.
I don't think I've seen more than a couple of occasions where there was an immediate response required and REAL emergencies aside, there should be no need to mess Mike around.

I'm committed to the Woburn meet on the Friday so, although I would love to, I couldn't put my name in the hat for this.

Still VERY happy with my FG Tours from my American golf fittings through GM 2 years ago. Not really got excited about any of these events since.
I have a Benross fairways in my bag and some of the stuff they produce is excellent (especially the pricing). Willbe a great couple of days for someone.

My mate was one of them, he is absolutely gutted. He entered the comp when it first was released, then like most competitions you enter, he forgot. then his work sorted a 2 week trip to his USA offices. he doesnt really want to go to that anyway! but even less so now, sometimes shizzle happens.
