Baseball Cap Fitting Opportunity

A word of warning fellas, beware of cheap imports from Holland.
Herself invested in one of these Dutch things some years ago, convinced by all the hype that it would improve my swing after playing in wellies for years.
Needless to say, 9 mths later, my golf was totally screwed.
You have been warned.

I had a hat fitting once. Found I spent too much time looking at the peak of the visor and suffered terrible headaches after only 4 or 5 holes. The yardages I was PROMISED I would gain 50 yards with my wedges and over 100 yards with my driver.
I ended up resenting the hat and it still resided in the naughty cupboard in the darkest, dankest, coldest corner I could find and there it will stay for eternity!

Put me down for a fitting, mine is poorly fitted as it blows of on windy days.

If I get chosen and don't get on with it will I be OK the sell it on a different golf forum ;)

Sorry if this is too soon

I bend my peak depending on the break of the green, this simple visual aid really helps alignment and will take off 4 putts per round, unless experienced please do not wear hat backwards as this can result in serious injury + a potential 3 putt.

Is that not 'gaining help from an outside agency'
Two shot penalty last time I looked [1957]

I was thinking of going for a 60 gallon baseball cap but I'm told that they're difficult to wear and I should be going for a 52 gallon variety?

Just a word of warning to any higher handicappers on here thinking about a new cap.......

Do not try going straight to a visor until you are an accomplished player, the SGI peak cap will give you much better results. I made this mistake when I first started out

I have a breathable gortex visor, really waterproof

If you get a PING cap, the co,our indicates how tall you are apparently , so it is important you are fitted properly to match your height.

I'm a red dot, so a little bit short, but most people are white.

Apparently you can buy PING caps secondhand that aren't the right colour for your height, but you can send them back to ping and they will adjust the colour to your correct height.

What if you put your hat on with an out-to-in plane? Custom fitting isn't going to fix that for you.

You'd all be better to get out and practice with the hats you have. I'm sure bobmac has some cracking hat drills that he'd happily share with you.

fit me biatch, I am inbetween junio/senior so hard work to find the perfick fit.

failing that North weald is just down the road so up for a round anytime :)

As long as it is a traditional cap and not one of those training style caps that seem to be flavour of the month.

It's always the same type, changing their cap in the car park and then straight back into their car after their round is finished

I have realised that if I wear my base ball cap front ways I slice the ball...

But if I wear it backwards I hook the ball...

Do you think the Norman Wisdom sideways look would solve my problem?

Absolute rubbish, you chaps need to ditch the cap and use a visor, they are so much easier to use and you they are lighter so they don't tire you out so much, mine is adjustable for loft and lie and I can adjust it on the putting green, tee box or fairway. Nike are also bringing out a hard top version!
