Bamburgh golf

Keeping a close eye on how the result of this one turns out. There are a few reputations on the line today 😁 Am sure the one that smashes it will be the first one on here

Someone will be cracking soon 😂

Plus expect a full 800 word report of Beezerk re how he went on with his hedgehog wheels. 😁

Well, the weather could have been kinder. Light & not so light rain on & off but it didn't spoil the day. It was nice to meet Williamalex1, aka Billy, & meet up again with Beezerk, who is in the middle of a week's golf at Gullane & other pointsNnorth. He & I took on Williamalex1 & my mate, 5 handicap KingofSwing. We took the first nine easily, four up and, on the way back were cruising. Unfortunately, the cruising turned to snoozing and we lost the last three holes to square everything. The course was in good condition for the time of year, although the tees were well forward. I do enjoy links golf & it doesn't come much better than this.

Nice to meet you Billy, glad you enjoyed your brief sojourn in beautiful Northumberland.

Here's a photo, taken just as the rain started again. Good job it wasn't cold or windy!

It was a tale of two mighty powers, colliding head to head in a battle to the death.
A true test of skill, bravery and waterproofs.
Never before had the fair links of Goswick witnessed such a tug of war, until finally, with dark clouds overhead, Will Bill from Bellshill sank the crucial par putt on 18 to halve the match.

Cracking day and great company, not sure how MiB and I managed to throw the game but kudos where it's due to Bill (WilliamAlex) for his two great putts in the closing holes. I scored 40 points so was chuffed to bits with that, had a couple of generous gimmes mind so maybe 39 ish ;)
Highlight of the day, MiB's cracking eagle on one of the par 5s :whoo:

Tashy, I'm useless you know, you may have the wheel covers for next winter the speed I work at :D

Yes a great day despite the rain, good company and some good golf. You guys started the front 9 like a rocket, if i remember you went 4,3,4, eagle 3, 4, 5,4,4,3
We managed to bring it back from 4 down to 2 down at the turn. Back 9 you guys went 2 up again, but as you said you went to sleep, and from 2 down with 4 to play , we managed to sneak a surprise half .
A pleasure meeting all you guys , anytime you venture north of the border give me a call you're welcome game at my gaff.
Special thanks to MIB [ Bill ] for arranging things
Tell Richard my dog says sorry for growling at him lol .

But no 4 holes of a start next time ;)
