BALLZ - How many rounds???

Hi all

Basically Ive played 3 rounds with the same 2 Srixon balls No2's (yes I do use them in number order ie all the 1's then the NO2's and so on).

So how many rounds until I should use a new ball???

Cant you tell how well my driving is going LOL

Can't say there is a specific number, as it depends on the type of ball, and what it wears like. First time I used the new HEX black it lasted 3 holes. The Bridgestone I used on Sunday went the whole round looking pristine.

For me when they look scruffy they go to the friendly game box, when they get cut up they go in the practice bag. Anything in there will probably be hit onto the range next time I am there.

I just use any ball i have in my bag so the same ball could have been used for the last year! Never keep tracking of them.

On the rare occasions I hold onto the same ball I'll usually play it until it looks knackered and ready for the practice bag or I eventually lose it. Two rounds is usually enough with a Pro V or a Z star for it to have scuffed a bit and be ready to go out to pasture on the practice ground. Is there any feeling worse in golf than unwrapping a brand new ball and it turns into a one hit wonder.

LOL Homer your right ill probaby get a brand new one out my next round and rip it into the bushes off the first.... Its always the way.

These 2 will go into the practice round pocket then.

I dont tend to loose too many but if I move onto Z STARS I know it will be a different story :-(

I'll play a round with a ball before it goes into the 'practice balls box' typically.

If it were to look new at the end of the round then I would happily re use it. But my Vokey wedges love to cut the ball!

depends on how many wedges i hit usually 2-3 balls a round if its competitive

Im also lucky if I can make it round with 1 ball and when I do... If its a decent round its first ball out when I play again!

Certainly am! Originally from Bartley Green and my missus is from Sutton... Dragged her down to Great Barr level now...

Which range do you use? I live on the doorstep of Queslett Park where the AG is - If you ever fancy a knock even on there lil 9 hole course just give me a shout.

Yeah ive used that range a few times and use the AG quite alot.... well its my go to shop now actually. Do you ever play Pype Hayes? Not a bad course for a muni really. Will have to sort a round out in the spring/summer.

Never played it, I play Marston Lakes and Boldmere mostly but have been recommended Pype Hayes.

Played Saturday up in Rugeley just after the rain stopped. First game since October and I was really rusty, kept fatting it. Course was really boggy in places. Determined to play more this year.

My z stars are normally good for two or three rounds but very much depends on how many bunker shots i've had to pley. That's what does the most damage

When I play with my Wilson dx3's I tend to get 27 holes out of them, so seeing as I'm not playing to badly I thought I would break out a new box of Wilson FG Tour's and see how long they would last and lost 4 on the front 9

But I do like to tee off with a new ball every game.
