Isnt this normally a 2 stroke penalty,not for this chap...

Reckon it would be a DQ normally bc its likely to have been a severe breach (otherwise why bother) and he was likely to have teed off on the next without playing from the proper place.

Must have been some piece of work if 200 people showed up to an EGM, I imagine there is previous.

Sounds like some sort of internal politics going on for such a ban. For 200 people to turn up and reject his appeal tells me there is some sort of possible animosity towards him.

This was an I evident on 6 April 2013, discussed on here in full in a thread started on the 17 July 2013.

If the player is still alive, he was 75 at the time, his 3 year ban will have been over for more than a year.

Yes but I wasnt on the forum for that period and evidently others are happy to discuss it now so those who keep saying its old news kindly ignore it.

That's why I think internal politics was involved. Liked by a few "important" people - not so liked by the majority.
