Early in the summer I purchased a Cleveland 588 custom driver with stiff shaft and hit it very well. Last month I bought the 3 wood and 20.5 degree hybrid to match.

Unfortunately the hybrid had too stiff a shaft and I had to sell it. I'm keen to match but begrudge paying £110 for a new matching hybrid when I paid £59 from online golf.

I'm undecided whether to get another make hybrid in say 19 degree or buy the 588 5 wood which I can get for £59?

I hit the driver and 3 wood nice so the 5 wood in the same shaft will be fine.

Or should I just pay the £110 and get on with it....!!

Should work with the 5 wood as you're going for a 4 iron next...
You need to make sure there's enough gap between the 3w and the 5w though...sometimes they can go very similar distances...

i would go for a hybrid given its versatility from rough, round the green etc.

Thats my bag set up, Mini Driver, 5 wood, 4 hybrid, 4 iron.

4H and 4I are similar distance, but very different flight and use

I think it will be too close and a hybrid would be preferred. Do you think the Cleveland 588 or CG are worth over £100? Seems there's better deals on other makes. What are your thoughts/recommendations?

Get the club that splits the gap between your other clubs. Don't get fixated on the number on the bottom of the clubs, getting good gapping is more important in my opinion - for what it's worth ;)
