I'm back today from 10 days in Switzerland where I've played the 2 courses in Crans Montana.

Absolutely amazing! I would definitely recommend it to golfer of every levels.

I didn't play very well, my best score was a 88 the worst 103 so mostly above my hc but still managed to enjoy it.

That was my first golf break abroad and I'm definitely going to do it again, probably Portugal in Autumn.

Cheers!

We got a 5 rounds package for the Ballesteros course for 620CHF, so about £510. It also gave us 3 rounds of the 9 hole target golf course. Surely expensive but my girlfriend has an apartment there so we didn't have to pay for the accomodation. Food and drinks, even at the supermarket, are ridiculously expensive though but mainly because the pound lost 50% of its value against the franc in less than one year.

A single round is 150CHF but it's almost impossible to book in August. In fact, I would definitely go in September/October next time. Lower fees and less people around.

I'll post some pics when I take them off the camera.

Good to hear Iku, we loved playing there too.Actually proposed to HID at Cry d'Er

Had an even par start to 8 on the Seve but then the rain rolled in and ended up with a 82.

The Jack Nicklaus is a lovely course too, did you have a dig for the green on the 5th?

Just also got back from a week not far from Crans (Saas Fee) and Switzerland is stupidly expensive. I am soooooo glad that i didnt take my clubs with me. 25 CHf (£20) for a pizza in ANY/all cafes in town !!!! We had 2 between me and the Mrs, and they had the cheek to charge us 3CHF for an empty plate to feed our daughter some !!!

Needed a week in France afterwards to calm down with some sensible prices.
