Next week is our first arranged away day to local[ish]opens.
There are between 8 and 12 of us usually, working around holidays and
our own golf club comps.
Its is a nice break away from the norm, with a chance to play courses cheaply,
and a chance to pick up some prizes.
Even though in the last 3 years weve only had 1 first and a 3rd.
Anyone else got some opens coming up.
How many of you are there?
And any previous wins?

I've got a 36 hole medal at East Berks but it's not until September which is good as it gives me time to find my game

3 of us from my club tootled along to play Dalmahoy east today - beaut of a day - no wind, sunshine...lovely

played not too bad - drives and fairway woods working well, which you need cos its a long course, but my great short game from Friday has abandoned me and I was 6 behind the leading score when i left the clubhouse, so no prizes there. In fact, I'll prob get a 0.1.

I was closest to the line on the 10th tho - no doubt some lucky git will land on the line...

Love playing these opens and seeing new courses for little money, and i played with two lovely ladies who were both members and gave me hints and tips on the course - huge thanks to them!!

Back to work tomorrow...sigh
;)

Hey Heidi - I was there as well this afternoon - see other thread about slooooooow play! :)

Totally agree - a brilliant way to play courses on the cheap, it was only £10 or £12 for Dalmahoy today.
