Attention PING fans

Hybrid is ugly, fairway wood is oke...

Irons are the shape I would not like to see at adres...

Driver looks ike it's been stretched out at the back...

Oh well... I'll stick to G10's...

I hear Ping are going to conseal a Catheter bag in their new cart bags coz the old Pingers cant go 4 hours without wetting themselves.

Shake hands with a Ping user on the first tee coz after 18 he reaks o' pi5h.

Interesting the Ping Anser irons are forged. For ever Ping have informed us that their cast irons are as good (better?) than a forging, and now they have brought out a forged iron? Why? Goes against every thing they have made for the last 40? years. That said, at least they might be made out of something which isn't the hardest substance known to man.

The K stuff all looks standard Ping to me. A bit heavy, clumpy, offsetty (is that a word? It is now). I'm sure it will sell well to the faithful, but can't see it attracting too many new buyers. Interesting colour though in the photos, looks like a return to Berylium copper (a very hard material, typical Ping). Either that, or they have dyed them.

The driver looks nothing new, and the hybrids are still ugly, but not as much as the G15 ones (which apparently go well, if you can get over the looks).

No sale here, but then that won't come as a suprise.

Where do these fit into the ping range?

It was the G/I series update last year so i presume it would be the Rapture update this year

Are these the replacements for the rapture series?

These are a replacement to the Rapture line. Ping re-release lines every two years unlike some lower quality manufactures.

fairways look chunkier than the G10, which was their best

hybrids are just plain awful

can't see if the standard bucket shovel is on the K irons but these are not the most attractive especially in what looks to be chocolate brown.

S56 doesn't look bad but nothing special - there are better looking clubs out there, eg Mizzies and Titleist. The Anser looks better but you can't judge from one image.

Hi all
long time no post etc - hope you're all well and getting lots of golf in

Ping run their product lines for 2 years so the K series are replacement for the Rapture V2 range the 56s replace the 57 and the Tour-S wedges repalce the Tour-Ws.

The only totally new product is the Anser irons - these are a niche product and will be pricey (in the region of a grand). Originally it was going to be Far east only release (they love a bit of expensive hi-tech stuff!) but it will now be worldwide as there has been quite a lot of interest from the US and Europe

In terms of where it all fits in here a brief overview although I guess if you were going PING through the bag you'd could mix and match across a couple of ranges
K series - super game improvement, all about forgiviness
G series - game improvers, forgivness with a small degree of workability
I series - want to work the ball but also want a decent level of foirgivness
Anser - forged feel, similar level of forgiveness to I series
S56 - players 'blade style club where workability is the to priority

I tested it all in France last week at the European product launch and there are soem very impressive products on there. The K series irons go absolutely miles and the 3 wood was a very nice club too. I have played the 57's and wedges for 2 years and will switch straight into the 56s and Tour S as I loved both. The 56s offer significantly more workability than the 57s (they are also doiong KBS shafts as a no-cost option) and the new finish on the Tour S is loveley and the heads a bit more compact.
They're also re releasing an Eye 2 Tour XG wedge which is a remake of the orginal

think that's it!

i think that ping regularly make decent looking drivers and woods but these new ones look like they will be nothing but a disapointment. the irons look like the usual crap that comes off pings production line despite being forged for once which will only drive up the price and scare away buyers

They are not forged.

Mike I know its a tough job going over to France, sampling all that local vino and hitting lots of shiny new sticks but I'm free if you want someone to give some of them a proper working over! Actually I like the look of them and typically liked the most expensive (Anser) ones aesthetically. I'm not good enough (well I am in my own mind) for the S series but I'd like to see how forgiving the Anser are compared to say my TP's

The Anser's are, and from what I've heard they can't get enough of them in Japan, which is their principle market I believe.
